What Are All-On-Four Implants?

All-On-Four is a full-arch tooth replacement that can replace one arch or all of the teeth in the mouth. Combining the best of both worlds, a bridge is stabilized by a series of implants. This enables us to support an entire arch of teeth without placing individual implants for each tooth. In the past, 6 to 8 implants were necessary to replace an entire arch of teeth.

However, it was discovered that if you place two dental implants at a 45-degree angle at the back of the jaw, then only four implants are needed to support a whole arch of teeth. This is because the precise placement of the implants increases their load capacity.

Initial Conversation

Our dentist in Placentia will need to take x-rays to assess your bone density and oral health to determine if you’re a good candidate for all-on-four implants.

Pain Relief & Sedation Options

Before making any incisions, we will administer local anesthesia so that you don’t feel any pain. We also offer dental sedation to make you more comfortable.

Implant Placement

An incision will be made into your gums and four titanium posts will be implanted into the jaw per arch of teeth.

Impressions

We will take impressions of your mouth to create the bridge that attaches to your implants.
